From the Fall of 2007 through December of 2008, I embarked on a learning journey to earn a master of arts in education with an emphasis in Organizational Learning and Instructional Technology at the University of New Mexico. This built on my previous bachelor of science degree in journalism from The University of Colorado at Boulder.
The tabs above provide access to eductional works and professional samples of applied learning from my studies. The portfolio is meant to be a purposeful collection of work, progress, and achievements. It represents an extensive record of progress, and a collection of well-documented learning achievements.
Please note that this journey was not traveled alone as you will see from the influence of instructors, colleagues, students and my family.
Resume
Following 25 years working in media as a senior manager leading and teaching creative teams at advertising agencies and television stations, I discovered teaching as a profession and embarked on a wonderful new career in 2006.
Currently I teach approximately 400 students a year at Westwood College Online and ITT Technical Institute. Additional teaching experience includes Community College of New Mexico, and the University of New Mexico Continuing Education.

Internship

My Internship included creating course materials with Flash, ActionScript and CSS, searching out and recommending learning management systems, adapting courses for SCORM and 508 compliance, and attending a professional conference on behalf of the Emergency Operations Training Academy.
EOTA is a division of the Department of Energy providing online and on ground training for 100,000 students consistening of emergency response personnel.
